About PBI and what we do

Our aim is simple. We are here to help you to achieve your goals and to work with you to make sure your business is the best it can be. We do this by assisting you to identify ways in which you can :-

We reinvest our profits we make back into developing PBI services. This means that we can help our clients via specialist support programmes, some of which are specifically designed for Pembrokeshire, that are part-financed by European funds and sponsored by PBI.

We also deliver a number of business support programmes on behalf of public sector organisations like the Welsh Assembly Government, contracted activity which we bid for through competitive tendering processes.

For example, we currently provide support through the Welsh Assembly Government's New Business Start Up programme for both lifestyle and growth businesses in Pembrokeshire and our subsidiary company 'encompass consulting' are also delivery consultants for their e-Business programme which involves high level ICT diagnostics activities and e-Business consultancy support.

It is because of these arrangements that many of the services that your business can access from PBI are free or heavily subsidised. With regards to grants, PBI does not give out grants directly. However, what we can do is inform you about appropriate grants, loan and investment schemes and assist you with funding applications.

In addition to encompass, PBI also has a commercial web development subsidiary, dotnet works.
