The Community Based Business Development for Micro Rural Enterprises
Delivered and sponsored by PBI, this programme is designed to provide business advice, support and assistance to micro enterprises and business community groups throughout the county.
The programme has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
It seeks to address the need for providing basic business support and act as an effective added-value channel to and from mainstream support programmes to ensure they are as effective as possible in a Pembrokeshire context.
The project is designed to contribute to the WAG Rural Development Plan by enhancing and providing additional mainstream services for the rural economy'; provide openings for future economic development and to help raise economic activity rates.
The project has a number of different strands to it: -
- Business advice & assistance for individuals
- Best practice workshops and events
- Market research
- Help for business community groups through thematic support
- Looking at which promotional tools could work for your business
- On-line support pilot project
** Please note that pure Tourism & Agricultural sectors and activities, businesses that employ 10 or more staff, have a turnover in excess of 2 million euros, are not eligible for susidised assistance under this particular programme, however, they are still welcome to attend events and we can advise clients on other subsidised support schemes they may be able to access.
This project runs under the de Minimus State Aid scheme.
